Harvest time in the Poly Tunnel

Over the last couple of weeks it has been Harvest Time here at OCCF. As the photos tell the story, the super keen gardeners got down to the task of finding and harvesting the vegetables. I have never seen carrots the shape they came out of the ground or courgettes the size of baby walrus’. Onions were pulled and laid out to dry ready to be stored.

Lots of fun was had by all as well as a good workout on the fork digging for that illusive potato ‘treasures’. Fortunately there were plenty of willing people to take the produce home to sample!

I (Jon), have been out of action lately with a bad back so all the hard work was done by the attendees. Looks like all the digging is done now so my back is feeling a lot better!

Please look after yourselves and keep safe.
